A person must be at least 18 years of age to apply for a Florida real estate license.
A person must hold an active sales associate license for at least 24 months out of the last 5 years to qualify for a Florida Broker License.
Fingerprinting is required of everyone applying for a Florida real estate license.
Fingerprinting must be done electronically and can be done at Pearson Vue (state testing center) or most UPS stores.
The sales associate course is 63 hours with an end of course exam.
The broker course is 72 hours with an end of course exam.
Courses are not timed however the end of course exams are timed.
Post license education is required for all new licensee during their initial issue.
Post license education is not continuing education.
Mutual Recognition allows certain out of state licensees to use that license to obtain a Florida real estate license.
State testing is held 5 days a week with Pearson Vue.
